Nesting

I had to put a post on here about nesting. You hear so much about mom's wanting to clean and nest right before little one comes along. I have decided that, in my case, nesting is EXPENSIVE! So far, all we have done is spend money...we bought a new car...a 2009 white Saturn Outlook. I will have Matt take some pics so we can add them to this post. We had the house exterminated (I had been seeing spiders and I won't even go into the lizard thing!) Ummmm we finally had the kitchen painted and are now using the rest of our wedding gifts that had been waiting for the new kitchen for their debut! We also bought a steam cleaner because I decided all the upholstered furniture in the house needed to be steam cleaned...you can guess how that is going...hahaha!

Now in the middle of all this, I have gone back to work and am extremely tired in the evenings. We are 2 weeks away from Sawyer's arrival and I am wondering if I can make it. I may see about just working mornings for the next 2 weeks!

Tuesday, August 11

We had another "dual" appt. today and Matt was able to meet me. Oh, I went back to work yesterday...blech...but anyway, he met me and we headed over there together. I had to be back at school that evening for Open House. We went to the high risk office first and had the stress test and everything looked good. He performed just like he was supposed to. Next we had the ultra sound to check things out and the little stinker is STILL BREECH....according to Grandma Julie, he is being stubborn...kinda like his dad who was also breech! He looked good on the US and the tech was impressed with how much he was moving around and his muscle tone and all that.

Next we headed down to Dr. Hahn and filled him in on the breech situation. At this point, Sawyer had been breech for several weeks, but we kept hoping he would turn because he was beginning to run out of time! Anyway, Dr. Hahn discussed the "version" technique with us and I believe he was rather relieved to hear it wasn't something we were interested in. Soooooo we scheduled a C-section for Sawyer's big debut at 9:00 AM on Monday, August 31. I will be 39 weeks on that day. They are considered full-term at 37 weeks which is where I am currently. I will be in the hospital for 4 days and bring the little guy home right before Labor Day weekend! We are so excited!

Sawyer's shower with family and friends...

Saturday, July 18, Sawyer's aunts threw him a baby shower at Ravanelli's. There were over 40 people there and I had a really great time! It was fun to see everyone and all the little babies too! We played a couple of silly games and had lots of time to visit with family and friends. Sawyer got so many nice things and it was fun to open all that stuff! Our living room was overloaded for a while! Oh and we had a yummy whipped cream icing cake too! Grandma Julie was able to be there with us so that was fun too!
